Amusing, but not great.
I got that it was ajoke and all, and it was sort of funny.
Still, it shuold have had some variation.
It didn't need to amek sene, but it would be nice if there were at least a few sequential events. Like, if you play the 6 he plays the rooster, which allows you to play the 3 (if you hadn't already burned it) etc.
On the high end, this game could be sort of a comedy grow cube. I played threough it a few times trying to figure out wat to do.
Draw 4 times, you tenticle get's chopped off.
Click the 3, the card burns, and the other dude asks for a 2.
Click the 7, it makes a ding!
Click the 5, it spins.
Play the 9, the game ends.
Pretty dull, and i was dissappointed to find there to be such a total lack of easter eggs.
Needed a better way to dish out experience/money
Making it so that you only get experience or money when the hero kills an enemy makes it so that it's cumbersome to use any melee classes.
The games's pretty fun with the necromancer, but playing with the warrior or that fallen is so tedious. It's tedius because, in order to get experience, you have to get right into the middle of the fight. Then you take tons of damage, and a lot of times you kills are stollen by some of your other troops. Then you're too hurt to rush into another fight. Then you've 3 options: wait around until you heal which is not any fun, walk back and use the life regeneration, which is expensive, or rush into another battle, and get killed losing money.
This is not anissue with the lich or mag, because you can stand on the edge of the battle and attack units you're going to be able to land the final blow on.
Perhaps if eperience were awarded based on damage delt, rather than enemies killed, it would solve the problem.
This game was really great. I say the bunny theme, and expected some weaksause clickathon, and was surprised to find the game to be very well balanced and deep.
I really liked it.
Comments and Criticism. I did find it annoying that eventually I had nothing worthwhile to spend my money on. I playe through very strategically buying only a few of the weamongs, and got the chaingun pretty early.
By level 51 I had all of the upgrades maxe3d out, and as much ammo and grenades as I wanted. For the last 9 levels of the game, I had nothing to spend my money on.
It would be nice if there was something to continue to buy, so it didn't feel so much like my money were going to waste. This wouldn't have to be anything great. Just infinate ammo on grenades, or something that gave some minor enhancement to damage or speed: anything that I could continue to spend my money on, because once I maxed everything out, it was a bit monotonous to play. I had nothing left to look forward to.
Pretty good, but some problems.
The game was pretty cool in a couple ways.:
I liked the basic premise.
I liked the "it's my own fault if I die" nature of making people choose greed by trying to get all of the same color at once.
I like how that strategy is reinforced by the increasing size of the capture zone based on the number of items selected.
COLORS TOO SIMILAR:
I know you were going for a cool rave/techno aesthetic, but the colors are SO bright, that they're all mostly white. I frequently mistook green for yellow when moving quickly. This game would have been more fun for me if you'd made the colors more obvious.
STACK IS LAME:
There were a few other problems too. The stack effect look is cool visually, but it makes it so that you can't see as far in one direction, and leads to mistakes when the stack is high. Make it blink, glow, whatever..... The stack is lame.
SNEAK AROUND EDGES:
You could easily sneak around the lower edge further than any other edge. Make the wall a border dude.
Overall, pretty good. 7
Fix these problems 8 or 9.
Awesome Idea. Great Game. Annoying problem
I finding my primary difficulty is trying to figure out what you called the thing.
I'm stuck on a division symbol, and I just don't know what to type in.
What's that called?
The game would be almost as hard if you just showed me the thing and let me guess what you called it.
I liked it and I thought that the tanks were a good twist on the tower defense genre.
I wish that the levels had changed more than simply changing the map ie. more waves, more types of vehicles etc.
I figured out a strategy that worked and it worked for every level. (docked 1 point)
Also, the game lagged terribly. Try using bitmapCopy. (docked 1 point)
Great game though.
Comon, now ;)
Great Game. Some bugs, but great game.
Oaky, this game is without a doubt inspired by Final Fantasy Tactics.... moving on.
This was a fun game. There was strategy, and as I played through I found that the strategy evolved, and I really enjoyed it.
I started out with archers and that worked out very well. Eventually I ended up using a team of 1 archer, 3 drummers and a healer. Basically I'd have 2 of the drummers on speed up and the other on attack. I'd start out slow but eventually I'd just be too fast and strong to be defeated. A subtle criticism is that I had no need for any of the other classes.
1) there's a bug where occasionally the enemy players could move outside of the territory. That was annoying because you could not attack them until the returned.
2) There's a bug where enemy players would get killed and they'd never fall down. They'd just keep standing there.
3) any heal brings a player back to life. That makes the life spell and the healer in general a lot less important.
I really liked it though. It's not exactly the same as final fantasy tactics, but to say that it had nothing to do with final fantasy tactics
9 stars until the bugs are fixed.
Cool art but... well... broken
Cool art but I've got bad news for you. It doesn't always work. The 1st time I played the game after the heckeler told the joke nothing else happened. I quit ethe game and started again thinking I must have accidentally got myself into some sort of strange training mode.
The second time I was playing it I got to the old lady and the game froze on her heckle. i.e. it never switched to the view of the head to allow me to make my comeback. It just tayed there and there was no way out.
I'll give you 3 stars for art but there's nothing worse that a game that doesn't work gameplay wise.
I started to lose interest around level 9 though.
I wish there were a way to distroy the airships in one hit if you aimed your shot perfectly.
